Massage Therapy

my massage

I use a mixture of classic Swedish massage, deep tissue and trigger point, myofascial work and craniosacral therapy. I adjust my massage to suit each individual client depending on whether your focus is relaxation, rehabilitation, maintenance or a combination. When giving a massage, I use my excellent understanding of muscles, their attachments and functions. However, I also work very intuitively letting my hands guide me. Therapeutic massage works on adhesions and trigger points and can sometimes be a little uncomfortable — I will always listen to you and work within your tolerance levels making sure that your muscles are warmed fully before starting to work deeper. I will also guide your breathing during your session, as there is a natural tendency to hold your breath when you are dealing with tight muscles and stress. Focused breathing can dramatically alter the way we deal with tension in our minds and bodies.

The most important thing to remember
when you are receiving massage is that
you are in control of your session.

If there is anything you are not
comfortable with,
please say so.
