background & philosophymy trainingI trained at The Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Westport. I am Connecticut licensed through the CT Dept. of Public Health, nationally certified through NCBTMB and insured through AMTA. I trained in CranioSacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute. I continue to take additional courses to add to and improve my skills in both massage techniques and CranioSacral Therapy. About me and my approach to massageI have always been interested in anatomy and have practiced yoga and martial arts, so it was natural for me to study and practice body work. For the past few years, I have deepened my knowledge of the practice and believe that receiving massage is essential for optimum health. At the end of a session, I want my client to feel as if they are wearing their skin lightly. The ongoing stress of daily life or living with aches and pains can cause irritability and leave you feeling low. Massage has many physical benefits and is good for emotional and spiritual well being. With that in mind, my therapeutic massage technique is highly personalized and intuitive, my intention is to help my clients be more connected with themselves and in turn with others. I use a balance of classic Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point, myofascial work, and craniosacral therapy. I have extensive training in these techniques and continue to study to add to and improve my skills. |
